Who we are

DailySkillAI ("we", "us", "our") is a micro-learning platform accessible at dailyskillai.ai. We help early-career professionals and job seekers build practical workplace skills — including Excel, workplace communication, and interview preparation — through five-minute daily practice sessions.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website and services ("Services"), how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have over it.

By using DailySkillAI, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

What we collect

Information you provide

• Account data: When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture. We never see or store your Google password.
• Learning preferences: Your chosen skill tracks, language settings, and role selection for interview practice.
• Practice responses: Answers you submit in Excel scenarios, communication exercises, and mock interview sessions — used to generate your AI coaching feedback and maintain your learning history. This includes lesson notes and saved coaching insights you choose to keep.
• Payment information: If you subscribe to Premium, payment is handled by Razorpay, Stripe, or PayPal. We receive payment and subscription status, transaction references, and provider customer or subscription identifiers needed to manage billing — we never store your full card number or banking credentials.
• Support messages: If you email us, we retain that correspondence to help you and improve the service.

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Lessons completed, streaks, badges earned, tracks accessed, time spent per session, and quiz results.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and pages visited.
• Cookies and browser storage: Sign-in state, your cookie choice, and temporary checkout state. Optional analytics identifiers are used only where analytics are enabled and you have consented. See Section 6.

Information from third parties

• Google: Name, email, and profile picture via Sign-In.
• Payment processor: Subscription tier, payment status, and renewal dates.

How we use your information

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces significant legal effects on you.

AI and your data

DailySkillAI uses OpenAI's AI models to generate lesson content, quiz questions, scenario feedback, and mock interview coaching. When you interact with these features, your inputs are sent to OpenAI's API for processing.

You should also be aware that:

• For information about OpenAI's privacy practices and API data processing, see its Privacy Policy and Services Agreement.
• Do not submit sensitive personal information (national ID numbers, financial account details, passwords, medical information) into practice fields.
• AI-generated content is for educational purposes only. It does not constitute professional financial, legal, career, or medical advice. See our Terms and Conditions for the full disclaimer.
• AI responses can occasionally be inaccurate. Verify important information from authoritative sources.

DailySkillAI also partners with NextRise Recruitment (nextriserecruitment.com). If you interact with the NextRise partnership features within DailySkillAI, limited data (such as your skills profile and readiness level) may be shared with NextRise to help match you with opportunities. This will always be clearly indicated before it occurs, and you can opt out.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share it only with the following trusted providers who process it on our behalf:

• Google — authentication and Sign-In (Privacy Policy)
• Supabase — account authentication and storage of account information, learning preferences, progress, practice records, and saved notes (Privacy Policy)
• OpenAI — AI lesson and coaching generation (Privacy Policy)
• Razorpay / Stripe / PayPal — payment processing and subscription management
• Cloudflare — hosting, CDN and security (Privacy Policy)
• Resend — delivery of transactional and notification emails when email delivery is enabled
• Mixpanel — optional product analytics when enabled and with your consent. Browser identifiers and usage events support aggregate reports; a browser identifier is pseudonymous, not a guarantee of anonymity.
• NextRise Recruitment — only if you engage with the partnership features, as described in Section 4

We may also disclose data where required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect our legal rights or the safety of users. If DailySkillAI is acquired or merged, your data may transfer as part of that transaction with prior notice to you.

Cookies and tracking

Optional analytics are off by default. You can accept them or choose Essential Only, then change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the website footer or account settings. Your choice expires after 365 days. You can also remove storage through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Data retention

• Account and learning data: Kept while your account is active to provide the service and maintain your learning history. Account deletion is handled through the request process below.
• Practice records and saved notes: Stored with your learning history so you can revisit feedback and track progress. There is no automatic 90-day deletion schedule. You can delete individual saved lesson notes in the app or request deletion of your account data.
• Payment records: We may retain the records needed for accounting, applicable tax requirements, fraud prevention, or an unresolved payment dispute after account deletion. The period depends on the applicable obligation and the record involved.
• Support correspondence: Kept as needed to handle your enquiry, follow up on an unresolved issue, or establish what was agreed. We consider whether the issue is closed and whether there is a continuing legal or dispute-related need when reviewing a deletion request.
• Browser storage: Cookie choices expire after 365 days. Pending checkout state is valid for up to 24 hours and is removed when completed or when an expired record is next checked. See the Cookie Policy for other storage.

To request access to or deletion of your account data, email hello@dailyskillai.ai from your registered address. Requests are reviewed manually; sending an email does not immediately delete your account or cancel a subscription. We may verify your identity and will explain any records that must be retained or any applicable extension to the response deadline.

We aim to respond within 30 days and will follow any shorter deadline required by applicable law. Backup copies and records held by payment or other service providers may have separate retention requirements; we will explain relevant limitations when handling your request.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights over your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Deletion: Request that we delete your data, subject to legal retention obligations.
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Objection: Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
• Withdraw consent: Where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.
• Opt out of marketing: Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in that email, or by contacting us.

These rights are available under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA), the UAE's Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection, and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Email hello@dailyskillai.ai to exercise any right. We aim to respond within 30 days and will follow applicable legal deadlines. We may verify your identity before processing requests.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Google Sign-In, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach that is likely to affect your rights, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.

Children's privacy

DailySkillAI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, contact us at hello@dailyskillai.ai and we will delete it promptly. Users aged 13–18 should have parental consent before using the Services.

International data transfers

DailySkillAI serves users primarily in India and the UAE. Our service providers, including OpenAI and Cloudflare, may process your data in other countries including the United States. Where required, we take steps to ensure such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a prominent site notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
